Hi, I'm Amena Shahid, a full-stack software engineer who has evolved from traditional coding to building with modern AI-native practices, including LLM integrations, agentic workflows, and AI-assisted development pipelines. I prioritize infrastructure that scales, code that's built to last, and user experiences that feel effortless. What I'm Doing

  • Full-Stack Development

    Building scalable, high-speed web platforms with Next.js, React, Vite and TypeScript on the frontend, and Python/Django, NestJS and Node.js on the backend, backed by robust testing and clean architecture.

  • Application Architecture

    Designing resilient backend APIs, real-time WebSocket services and distributed systems on PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis and GraphQL. This includes AI integrations (Anthropic/OpenAI with provider fallback, MCP tool-calling, RAG pipelines on Weaviate vector search), deployed and operated on AWS and Vercel.

  • UI/UX Engineering

    Translating Figma designs into fluid, human-centered interfaces with reusable shadcn component systems, thoughtful micro-interactions and responsive layouts.

  • Performance Optimization

    Auditing and optimizing Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS), image upload and auto-tagging pipelines, and server-side caching.
